In 1989 Backstreet Girls had their releaseparty
for the album "Party On Elmstreet" at Dronningensgate 32 in
Oslo, the recordstore Rebel Record had just closed the doors,
and it was the perfect location for a releaseparty.
Only a few months later Norways most legendary Rock 'n' roll bar
started at the very same location. Backstreet Girls had left
some posters behind with the "Party On Elm Street" logo, and the
bar was of course named: Elm Street Rock Cafe.
21 years later and the bar had to shut down. The final concert
was performed by Backstreet Girls anno 1989 (Petter Baarli, Pål
Kristensen, Bjørn Terje Baarli and Bjørn Muller) on new years
eve 2011. Read article from
Dagsavisen.
